Abstract
This study aims to identify the manifest content of the life story of the elderly diaspora
Palestinian refugees and to explore the history of the process of their displacement and its psychosocial,
social and political implications for them. The study sample consists of 121 elderly Palestinian
refugees, 78 males and 43 females, who recounted the story of their lives. Method content analysis
(qualitative and quantitative) and methodology of Van de Castle Hall are used to classify the elements
of the life story content into categories. The results of the study reveal seven major categories of the
life story and a number of sub-categories. All of these categories along with their psychological, social
and political implications are discussed. The study concludes with implications and recommendations.
