dc.description.abstract | Abstract: For the first time, a protein capable of bonding to fatty acids has been purified and described in a parasitic protozoan. This protein has a molecular weight of 8 to 10 kDa and an isoelectric point of 4.96. The Scatchard analysis of the equilibrium data revealed a Kd affinity constant 3.12 x 10-8 M, when the labelled oleic acidwas displaced by unmarked oleic acid with a concentration 10-fold greater than that of marked. | en_US |
