Abstract: ملخص الدراسة تتناول هذه الدراسة الحياة الاقتصادية في قضاء القدس في الفترة مابين عامي 1864-1914م فتبدأ بفترة التنظيمات العثمانية وتنتهي ببداية الحرب العالمية الأولى ، وقد اعتمدت الدراسة على سجلات محكمة القدس الشرعية كمصدر رئيس لما تحتويه من معلومات هامة وقيمة لا تتوفر بالمصادر الأخرى، وتطرقت الدراسة لجغرافية قضاء القدس من حيث الموقع الجغرافي، والمساحة الحدود والتضاريس والمناخ ومصادر المياه و السكان والعوامل المؤثرة في اعداد السكان والتنظيمات الادارية في قضاء القدس ، وتناولت النشاط الاقتصادي ولاسيما الزراعة وما يندرج تحتها من أشكال ملكية الأراضي من مملوكة واميرية ومشاع ومحلولة واراضي موات واراضي وقفية ، وطبيعة هذه الاراضي وكيفية التعامل مع كل نوع منها وكيفية تسجيل الاراضي ، ومصادر الملكية وحجمها واهم الادوات الزراعية التي كان يستخدمها الفلاحون ، وأنواع المحاصيل، والمشاكل التي واجهت الفلاحين ، والثروة الحيوانية، إضافة إلى اهم الصناعات والحرف والمهن من معاصر زيتون وسمسم ، طحن حبوب ، صناعة صابون ، دبغ جلود ، صناعات مختلفة ومتنوعة ، مع تقديم استعراض لاهم المهن والحرف منها النجارة ، الحدادة ، صباغة ، فخار ، وعدد من المهن والحرف الاخري ، واستعرضت الدراسة التعامل التجاري الداخلي والخارجي حيث عرضت لأهم البضائع والسلع المتداولة في الأسواق وأشكال التعامل التجاري من بيع ومقايضة ورهن ودين ووكالات ، والعلاقات التجارية بين سكان المدينة والريف ، وظاهرة الديون كمظهر من المظاهر الاقتصادية في القضاء وأشكال الديون السائدة في القضاء كالقرض الشرعي والبيع بالدين كبيع الوعد والوفاء وبيع المقاصصة ، إضافة إلى عقود السلم . وأظهرت الدراسة قوة الارتباط الاقتصادي بين المدينة والقرية وهيمنة تجار المدينة على الاقتصاد الريفي ،وتناولت الرسوم والضرائب على الأراضي الزراعية ، وانتهت الدراسة بموضوع الأوزان والمقاييس والمكاييل والنقود وبينت العملات العثمانية والأجنبية وأثرها على النواحي الاقتصادية في القضاء . This study is talking about the economic life in Jerusalem District between 1864-1914 AD, starting from Ottoman rule and ending with the World War I , the end of Ottoman era. This study depended on the Shariah records of Jerusalem as main source as it contains important and valuable information which are not available in other sources, the study discussed the geography of the geographical location, size, borders, topography, climate, and water sources , and also discussed the economic activity, particularly the agriculture and what connected under this field such as land ownership and corps types, and the problems faces by farmers , and livestock, as well as industries, trade and professions, the study talked about the internal and foreign business, talked about the most important traded goods and commodities in the markets, the commercial dealing forms, commercial relations between the city and countryside, the debts Phenomenon as aspect of the economic aspects in the district, the forms of prevailing debts in the district such as Shari Loan, debt sale such as promise and fulfillment selling, debt increase selling in addition to peace contract, the study revealed the strength of the economic connections between the city and the countryside, and dominance of the city merchants on the countryside economy, the study also discussed the fees and taxes on the agricultural lands, and ended with weights, measures, scales, money, and showed the ottoman and foreign currencies and its impact on the economic aspects in the district.
