It is an important purpose of the purposes of the Shari'a. It talks about the protection of the chastity in the Prophetic Sunnah in a scientific manner based on extrapolation of texts and the collection of narratives. This study consists of an introduction, four chapters and a conclusion. In the first chapter, I defined the main concepts used frequently in the study linguistically and conventionally, such as Sunna, protection, and chastity. I also showed how linguistic and conventional meanings connect. In addition, I elucidated the importance of chastity for Arabs in the periods before Islam and after Islam. In the second chapter, I set forth the prophetic orders to protect chastity moving to illustrate the definition of morals linguistically and conventionally and the role morals play to protect and hold values. Moreover, I clarified the meaning of piety, modesty and pureness and the effect of each one in the protection of chastity. In addition, I mentioned hadith on marriage, turn a blind eye, cover up, and politely asking for permission before entering to people’s places. In addition, the role of each in protecting families and keeping their chastity. In the third chapter, I set forth the prophetic bans for keeping chastity such as, aloneness, forbidden intermixing of men and women, sharing children beds. I also discussed all about the titivation of women such as titivation for non-consanguine and going out after using perfumes and attractive smells, unserious walking and describing anather wife to her husband. In addition, I showed hadith on women’s going out of their homes, such as hadith, which state that staying of women at home is better for her than going to masjid. I also showed the consequence of travelling without Mahram, taking off clothes outside homes and using bathrooms. Moreover, I discussed gossip, cursing and fake rumors as they affects and distort chastity. In the fourth chapter, I showed the punishments in Shariaa to protect chastity such as punishments of adultery and slander of chaste women and the wisdom behind them. Moreover, I defined each and showed how they strongly affect chastity.en_US
