Psychological Identity Of University Students And Its Relationship With Some Variables

Abstract

This study aims at investigating aspects of the Psychological identity (PI)and differences between male and female university Palestinian students in according to age,sex and university,the sample ,random stratum was 401 students .The results showed that the extent of realizing PI by the university students was almost Low .They could not define their identity clearly and precisely .As for as PI is concerned , they can be classified as of follows :identity closure ,achievement ,confusion and suspension .Certain aspects of PI were found preferable .There were also statistically significant differences in PI attributed to sex, but there were no statistically significant differences in PI attributed to age or university .
