Abstract: We live at an exoutic age unique with its various exciting events and social, economical and moral values changes in addition to its modern discoveries, inventions and modern technology. However, this age is full of several causes of psychological anxiety and disorder which make persons feel great menace to their psychological, physical, materialistic and social security. The current life realities on the ground are full of schoking risks, events and experiences that cause failure and frustration. Despite experiencing those different pressures, individuals try hard to preserve their mental health from any difficulties threatening their life and security that make them feel dangers and anxiety about their future. Thus; psychological counselling is considered one of the most pivotal basic services delivered for both individuals and groups alike nowadays in order to enable them to reach the utmost normal development of all their charcters' features and the personal potentials for growth and development to achieve the desired personals and social adjustment; and thus contribute to reaching a suitable level of mental health that is positively reflected on their academic performance in a way maximising the used methods for achieving various educational goals generally and school goals in particular. Thus; the counselling process at schools enable individuals to understand their potentials, capabilities and aptitudes, invest that understanding in sovling problems and formulating desired goals, drawing up plans for future life based on personal understanding for the reality on the ground and helping them to achieve the greatest level of happiness and positive effectiveness. Therefore; counsellors must learn basic counselling skills that proceed across three main stages: 1- Disclosure 2- understanding 3- acting. Also, they should have a suitable training on them before the beginning of the counselling process. Therefore, we can pose a question here about: can counsellors change their development and science in a way making them skillful practioners
